  • Is New Trades Career Legit? Any NTC Students here?

    Hi All,

I am thinking to sign up with New Trades Career. Would like to know students experience with this college. I am getting mixed reviews on Google. I am planning to start the plumbing course.

    Cheers,
    Pete

    Hello Pete,
I am New Trades Career student. It is mixed of practicals and theory. You do quite a lot of exams, some of them are difficult. The actual training is done by a city and guilds registered company. I do my practicals in Wolverhampton over the weekends. You've got 3 years to finish the course. I've done a 1 year so far. Theory part is boring. Practicals are really good.

      Thanks Robert.

Anyone who finished the course here and achieved NVQ?

        Hi Pete,

I am NTC student and doing now my NVQ. It is a bit difficult with the Covid 19 restrictions but still ok. The new trades career is legit.
        My opinion.
THe course is great as it allows you to study and work at the same time.
The practicals are simply perfect mainly because of the tutors.
        NVQ sites - perfect.

        Theory part - boring
Tutors on phone and online tutoring... ok.
        Booking practicals... well...

          Hi Guys,

I've just had a phone call from one of the course coordinators. How did you pay for the course? I was offered a 0% interest student loan.

          Any experience with that?

            Hi Martin,
Yes. You can pay all at once or they offer you a loan. I took a loan for 3 years. I beleive that you can take different variation of courses and the length and price depends on the qualification you are trying to achieve. I do plumbing and would like to achieve NVQ. I read some horror stories on internet but the course is good and legit. Especially when you've got day time job.
